How do I stop smoking easily? None of the quit smoking tips that are out there state anything but the obvious. That you need to set a quit date, that you need to avoid social situations that cause temptation to smoke, that you need lots of willpower etc. I find none of that helpful or reassuring.
Here are a few methods that look promising to me as they seem to require the least effort, unlike the plethora of quit smoking tips.
First there’s acupuncture, which is great if you don’t mind needles…
Secondly, there’s Hypnosis, which just entails relaxing and listening to someone hypnotize you.
Thirdly, there’s EFT which stands for emotional freedom technique and which consists of tapping certain points on the acupuncture meridians in a certain way and includes “set up phrases”.
Fourthly there’s Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, which seems to have a very high success rate. You have to see a therapist regularly for this and it can be expensive.
And lastly, there’s NLP which is the new kid on the block as it is a relatively new therapy. NLP stands for neuro linguistic programming and claims to re-programme the brain. Apparently it is quite effective.
Ok so now I just need to choose one of the above and go for it – wish me luck!
